Since I study surface design most of our work is done in Alias. Mostly because of the quality surfaces it can deliver but also because it is one of the most commonly used systems and is steadily becoming more and more popular.

What i really like about it is the speed in you can model in. With its adaptability with hotkeys etc. It allows you to create something quite quick compared to other surface modeling systems.

Here you see my projects or assignments created in Alias. My first assignment was to create a longboard, were we were allowed to choose our own design. As you can see I choose a fairly simple one and it would not take a long time for me to make it today but since it was my first project it took a few hours to complete.
My next assignment was to make a water boiler. Our teacher had a broken one and we were to make a copy of it in Alias. A bit more time consuming then the longbord but nonetheless fun project.

An Iphone 4 was next, this we could do with as little or as much details as you wanted to and being done rather quick i had time for a few.
​
The dashboard is from a Volvo and our assignment was to build the center cap or the vents of the dash. A fun and educational task.
